Just Getting Started With PeopleString...

I just signed on to PeopleString and got started in a venture that I hope to become somewhat lucrative. The site is set up just like a social network site (i.e. facebook, twitter and myspace) but with the benefits of a multi-level marketing network. It is entirely free to sign up, but there is an option to upgrade to Entrepreneur package for $200. As a free user you only receive 5% commission on your direct referrals and 2% on the remaining 5 levels. Whereas an Entrepreneur you receive 20% and 6% respectively. As for now I am set up as a Free member, and trying to establish my down-line, once things get going I plan on upgrading. I feel pretty good about what PeopleString has to offer, and it's still a fairly young site so I'm getting in on the front end of what can become a very big deal. If you are interested in making residual income from home, with little effort I recommend you click on the link or banner above! Good luck with all your ventures, and as always stay classy!

Missed T.S.O.L....

... But I got to make a few dollars at my homegame! It's not quite as exciting as a T.S.O.L show (from what I remember) but it is nice to make some extra scratch haha... Hopefully I get to see them the next time around, because it's been years since I've seen them. Shows that I am looking forward to though, are Mad Marge and the Stonecutters at Angels Roadhouse 2 in Apple Valley next saturday, and the Koffin Kats also at Angels Roadhouse on April 17. I've been wanting to see them live for a little while now. So if anyone is intersted in joining me at either of these shows, give me a ring. It should be good times! Ok bye for now, stay classy!

Bad Beats Happen!

As I had mentioned in my previous post, I was in a $100,000 poker tournament, with a different type of structure. Well, I really liked it! All I had to do was get passed two sit n go's and I was in the money. Easy enough, right? I cruise right past my first table, playing fairly tight picking my spots and surviving. Letting everyone else knock each other out. As I figured the second table would be a bit tighter and with better competition. I pretty much used the same strategy and was doing OK. I didn't get myself involved in too many hands, and when I did I made sure they didn't get out of hand. Not until we were six handed and at least two other players were on their way out. I look down at AK off suit, the button limps, small blind limps and I raise to 1,000 (the blinds were 200-400). Button folds and small blind just calls, leaving him only 750 in chips I had him covered to say the least. The flop comes out A8J, small blind checks to me I jam the fucken pot, he thinks for a moment and calls with his remaining 750. I turn over my AK and he disgustingly turns over his AQ. I had the poor bastard dominated! But wait, the turn happens to be a 9... ugh! Now he has 4 more outs to the river, 3 Q's and 4 10's... Wouldn't you know a god damn 10 peels off on the river to complete his straight! This pretty much crippled me, leaving me with only 750 and at that point blinds had just gone up to 400-800. I didn't even have enough to complete the big blind! So I was forced to play any two cards and they happened to be Q3 vs QK... I lost.  I played good poker and left it to the cards, I think its good to note that that was the only all-in of mine that was called throughout the tournament. I'll take this as a learning experience and look forward to my next shot on the felt. Hey I was at least able to make a couple of dollars at the 2-4 hold em game! I'm not going to lie though my feelings were hurt and I was a bit depressed for an hour or so... That's about it, I'll keep posting my minnie poker adventures along with anything else of interest. Until then stay solid!

Recomended Titles...

Today's the day...

Today I get my shot at a $100,000 prize pool. With the top spot paying out $25k!!! This is by far the biggest poker tournament I will have entered. It only took seven stamps at the San Manuel poker room. The field can be as big as 1,000 players, who all qualified the same way I did. There are no direct buy-ins. From what I heard the first two rounds are a shoot-out format, in which only the top two from each table advance... It's not until the final round that the structure goes back to a more traditional elimination format. I believe the top 50 get payed out with first place getting $25,000! I'm playing to win it all, but I'd be content with cashing... I'm only a few hours away from the start and am very excited. I will post how it went tomorrow... Until then rock on!
